This made it can only be made in a small batches using the freshest sesame seeds of the season. This way, the oil does not turn rancid or oxidized and the purity remains intact. 1Is it safe to use on babies?
Yes, it is safe with babies. In fact, in India, people used to massage it on babies because they believe the sesame oil can help make the baby’s bones stronger. Some of our clients told us that used daily, it promotes hair growth for their babies too.
2Can we eat it?
Yes, it is safe to eat. Some people take it daily to improve their cardiovascular health.
3How to keep it fresh?
Keep it in a cool dry place to prevent it from oxidation.
4Is it the same as sesame oil used in cooking?
No. It’s different from cooking sesame oil. Normally the cooking sesame oil is made from roasted sesame seeds. Which means it is already oxidized and won't have the same effect that our cold-pressed raw sesame oil offers.
5Is black sesame oil different from white sesame oil?
According to ayurveda it is mentioned that black seeds are more beneficial due to their high nutritional content. The calcium is more in black ones as compared to the white ones and it is the same with iron, potassium, copper, manganese and other such minerals. As a result, we can safely assume that the oil from black sesame seeds has higher nutrients than that of the white sesame.

I’ve been using this as a facial sunblock after my daily moisturizer! Love the nutty smell, versus the usual synthetic smell of sunblocks. Seems to work well when I swim at noon too! No burns on my face after. Occasionally it goes on my hair ends and slighty drier skin. It’s a little heaty on my dry skin. But it’s quite lovely as a light hair smoothener. A little bit goes a long way. Love this purchase!
