January 14, 2021What Wholesome Means for Us
“The whole is never equal to the sum of its parts”
Let’s start off this post with the above phrase as we feel it really captures the essence of why we do what we do the way we do it.
Why do we choose to grow our own ingredients instead of just buying them off the market?
Why do we choose to make it ourselves instead of hiring a company to make it for us?
Why do we choose to make it by hand, hiring people in the community instead of getting ourselves an automatic machine to make, bottle, and pack it?
Or why do we choose to use whole fruit ingredients instead of just mixing the different naturally plant-derived substances from various sources together?
Why do we allow so many unpredictable factors and leave so much room for inconsistency?
Why do we allow ourselves to be this vulnerable?
For us, making these products and starting this Happy Earth journey has never been easy. Of course, we didn’t have enough money to start our operation. All we had back then, was just four hands and a piece of land contaminated with chemical overuse. But we didn’t succumb to the fate.
A big part behind a lot of the decisions we’ve made has been about choosing what feels truly right for us, as opposed to choosing what’s normal or what’s easy. There’s a lot of thinking and feeling before we start doing something. Every decision has been thoroughly thought, considered, and re-considered.
Vulnerability is a part of life. And to have a good life, we need to wholeheartedly embrace our imperfections as a part of ourselves.
The wholeness of us is far from perfect. And it offers limitless room for improvement.
A lot of the time, it’s about venturing into the unknown and persevering even when you don’t think there’s hope. You continue to do it no matter what because it feels right for you.
We are forever reminded to be humble to the forces of nature.
In that humbleness, we find beauty in the imperfections that Mother Nature offers us.
In that humbleness, we get to embrace the whole experience and surrender to the wholesome nature of each ingredient, the good, the bad and the ugly of it from the start to the end.
And because of that humbleness, our world is now open to the endless magic that the wholeness provide us.
.
We are allowed to feel, explore, accept, fail, adjust and find the best version of ourselves in between those empty spaces as we wait for the creativity to flow.
.
And that’s the reason why we do what we do. And that’s why we never want to give up.
.
So you can feel the wholeness Mother Earth is giving us the same way that we feel.
Life is simple. Sometimes all you need is to live, learn and grow with Mother Earth.
What about you? What does being wholesome mean to you?
